Annually the Central Ohio Section of ASCE puts on a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Expo for students in Kindergarten through 8th grades. The event presents the students the opportunity to complete hands-on activities which are meant to teach the students something about STEM related topics and increase interest in the fields. The event has been steadily growing since its inception and last year hosted nearly 500 students at the event held during Engineer’s Week (last week of February).
As you can imagine, there is a lot of planning that goes into preparing for the expo and as we have grown the tasks to complete have also grown. To that end, it is time to begin planning for this year’s expo. This meeting will be the first meeting to plan for this year’s expo. All are welcome to attend and help with the planning. Please RSVP to [email protected] by October 13 so that he can plan for the appropriate meeting room/space (if there are too many people who want to be involved in the planning, the venue may have to change).
