Registration will begin at 11:15 AM. Buffet-style lunch will begin at 11:30 AM.  Speaker presentation will begin at 12:00 noon. Deadline for registration is November 7, 2022 at 11:55 AM. About the Presentation

The presentation will provide an overview of the Registration Act for Professional Engineers and Surveyors, the laws, rules and Code of Ethics. The presentation will cover common violations of the registration act and current issues affecting professional engineers and surveyors. This presentation will count toward the two hour requirement for courses or activities covering the Board’s laws, rules or professional ethics.

Speaker

John F. Greenhalge, Executive Director of the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors

John has been with the Board since 1998, previously serving as the Board’s Enforcement Supervisor and as the Assistant Executive Director. Prior to joining the Board John began his career as a loss prevention and human resources investigator for Sears Roebuck & Co and then as an investigator for the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.

John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Ashland University. John has served on numerous national committees for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) including the Committee on Law Enforcement, the NCEES Leadership Task Force and the Member Board Administrators Committee. John is also a recipient of the NCEES Distinguished Service Award and the 2019 Meritorious Service Award for outstanding service to the Central Zone, NCEES and the engineering and surveying profession.

ABOUT THE BOARD

The Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors is the state agency that regulates and licenses the professions of engineering and surveying in Ohio. The Board has approximately 32,000 registered professional engineers and professional surveyors and 3,500 registered engineering and surveying firms. The Board’s mission is to safeguard the health, safety, property and welfare of the citizens of Ohio by providing effective licensure and regulation of professional engineers, professional surveyors and engineering and surveying firms.
