About the Presentation
The Engineers Without Borders presentation will give a brief overview of the EWB organization and then describe the projects that have been completed by the Central Ohio Professional chapter. The adjacent photo shows the 3-room school building and kitchen building recently completed in Las Victorias, Guatemala.

Speaker
James Siebert, PE — DLZ
Jim Siebert has a BSCE from Valparaiso University and an MSCE from Purdue University, specializing in geotechnical engineering. He is a Life Member of ASCE. Jim retired from DLZ in 2015 after nearly a 40-year engineering career, of which nearly 31 years was with DLZ. He still does a little consulting work with DLZ. Jim has had a major role in several significant projects in Columbus including the Main Street Bridge over the Scioto River, the OARS deep tunneled sewer, and portions of the West Columbus Floodwall.
Jim has been an active member of the Central Ohio Professional Chapter of EWB since it started in 2007. He has made 8 trips to Central America on EWB projects. In today’s presentation Jim will share some general information about EWB and then give an overview of their projects in El Salvador and Guatemala.
